Each summer Lack's Beach Service sends a team of lifeguards to the regional competition. The team is chosen by those who are interested and by practice times. Events competed are: Beach Flags, 2 mile beach run, landline, 400 meter surf swim, run-swim-run, surf rescue race, ironman/women, soft sand relay, rescue race and rescue board race. Again Lack's team joined North Myrtle Beach to make up the Horry County Team for the South Atlantic Regional Competition. Together as a team Horry County placed 2nd in the Large Beach Divison! It was the first time ever Horry County placed 2nd. Great job to all competitors!!!
